Row80 - Round 4 - Check in 7

Is it just my imagination or are these check in's coming around quicker every week?

Hmmm, not entirely sure what I've done since last check in. Oh wait, I know.

I got back on track with yoga even though I'm still feeling run down. Although I'd missed it for a week, I was quite pleased that my fitness levels hadn't taken a step backwards and I'd forgot how chilled it was making me feel.

I haven't touched the novels spreadsheet in a while. Thinking of going back to devoting one night a week to the novel.

I've begun the rewrites for my 4th assignment and it's turned out tougher than I expected. Trying to nail poetic form and getting my line breaks in order is proving tricky with that particular poem. After reading C. M. Cipriani's post on comfort zones, I went and signed up for my 2nd module. So I'll be juggling the two for a couple of months but in theory I have time off work in November and again at xmas so I can dig myself out of a hole if I need to. Also, it should shave a bit of time off my overall degree. I'd like to complete it this side of 40. :-P

I've decided to do Novpad again this year. I miss writing new stuff and the prompts last year generally came through during my lunch break. So that shouldn't bog me down too much in my evenings and I can test my study skills when it comes time to rewrite them all.

Reading wise, I'm about a third of the way through Cormac McCarthy's The Road.

I got round to reading a writing related article as well over on writer's digest, it was about using freewriting as a way to develop a draft which I can actually see me putting into practice when I'm at that stage with the novel.

Hope everyone's doing well.

The check-ins do come quicker, right? I thought I was the only one with that impression lol
Glad you got back to yoga. Exercise is good and necessary =)
And hang in there. You'll get past the tough part and it'll be worth it.
Good luck!

I know, right? I swear this one came fast! Sometimes we ROW through water and other times it feels like thick maple syrup. Just keep pushing your way through. You can do it!

The check-ins came so fast I missed a few. LOL (bad me). Very good on the yoga. It really is key to get exercise and I have to admit it's the last thing on my priority list so it falls to the wayside. And it actually looks like you get a fair amount done, it's just across several projects. So way to juggle. ~Kate

Thanks Juliana,

Ryan, thick maple syrup sounds good.

KH, I'm starting to feel like a one act circus with all this juggling. LOL

Thanks Stacy.

I do feel like these check-ins are pretty frequent! I really want to get into yoga. I used to do it more frequently and really enjoyed it.

Ghenet, it is hard getting started on exercise, but you just have to start. I only do a 25 minute routine followed by 5 minutes of deep breathing. Have a good week.

I think the check-ins are coming quicker. I was not at all ready for today's. The email actually surprised me. Where was I? Good work on your goals. The yoga sounds great. The exercises for your writing also sounds wonderful. It's good to push ourselves every now and again to make sure we're growing. Keep up the good work.

The check-ins are definitely coming around quicker, but of course from Sun to Weds is quicker than from Weds to Sun. But, I was ready for this one, actually got something done for a change. :D Sounds like you are setting up for a busy few months as well, keep up the good work!

I know. I'm finally commenting on Wednesday's check-ins and realizing another check-in is due tomorrow. Crazy fast.

Good luck with Novapad. I clicked over, sounds interesting. I wish I wrote could tap into my poetry brain.

Good luck wrapping up this week and checking in again tomorrow. ;-)
