I recently came across these quotes from other poets and thought I would share them here:
"If I read a book and it makes my whole body so cold no fire ever can warm me I know that is poetry. If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry." Emily Dickinson
"Poetry is truth seen with passion." Yeats

Poetry - Howl
Howl
Lovelorn werewolves howl
As a comet glides unhindered
Across the moon.

Poetry - Spectres On Station Road
I've taken up the Writers Digest Poetic Form Challenge and written the following lune:
Spectres On Station Road
Beneath a pale
moon cold indistinct forms rove
before my eyes.

As a free verse poet and one that just lets the words spill onto the page this was a challenge.
